Strong typhoon Yagi is approaching China's Hainan province. Meteorologists warned that Yagi could cause catastrophic damage to Hainan Island and Guangdong. In a report on Saturday (September 7), the British media BBC News reported this information.
According to the report, the Indo-Pacific Tropical Cyclone Warning Center said, 'Yagi' is a very dangerous and powerful typhoon.
Yagi could be the strongest typhoon to hit China's southern coast since 2014. Which will make the task of dealing with floods and situations very challenging.
Yagi has sustained winds of more than 240 kilometers per hour (149 mph), according to NASA Earth data, and the typhoon is the equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane.
