Brazil announced the squad for the two World Cup qualifiers


  Coach Darival Junior has announced the Brazil team for the matches against Chile and Peru. Left back Vinicius Abner and striker Igor Jesus have been called up for the first time in the announced 23-man squad.

Brazil will play against Chile on October 11. Five days later on the 16th they will play against Peru. In total, Chile and Brazil have met 17 times so far. Among them, Brazil won 13 matches, drew 3 matches and Chile won one match. On the other hand, Brazil and Peru have met 16 times. Selecao won 12 matches, Peru won two matches, the remaining two matches were drawn.

They lost 1-0 to Paraguay last September 11. In total, the Selecao is number 5 in the group of the Latin American region in the World Cup qualifiers. They have won only 3 out of 8 matches, drawn one and lost four.
