If everything goes well, South Africa will visit Bangladesh on October 16 to play a two-match Test series. Both matches are part of the ICC Test Championship.
Bangladesh is not able to host the women's T20 World Cup due to political unrest. The home tour of New Zealand 'A' has also been postponed. The country's cricket board will make a decision in this regard within a week after talking to the South African Cricket Association.
However, the BCB has decided the venue for the two Test series in South Africa. The first test will start on October 21 at Mirpur Sherebangla Stadium. The second and final Test will begin on October 29, with the venue Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. According to the schedule, the South African team will leave Bangladesh on November 3.
Proteas last came to Bangladesh in 2015. All three versions of the service have been cricket. Bangladesh lost the T20 series by 2-0. Despite losing the first match of the ODI series, Bangladesh won the next two matches and won the series by 2-1. Both matches in the two-Test series were drawn due to rain.
