The number of dead, including three children and seven women, has risen to 37 in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon's capital, Beirut. Local time, Friday (September 20) the attack was carried out in the Dahiya area of South Beirut. Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information citing Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad.
More than 60 people were injured when two buildings collapsed in the Dahiya area of the Lebanese capital during rush hour last Friday, according to reports.
The three children killed were four, six and 10 years old. Emergency personnel are searching for 17 people under the rubble. The rescue operation may continue for another day or more. Many shops in the area are closed, with very few people present.
